Course Description

It's official.

Humans now have a shorter attention span than a goldfish.

Fifty-five percentage of us leave a webpage within the first 15 seconds.

Do you have the graphics, photos, and layouts on your page to keep visitors to your site focused? Are you using the right marketing tools? AND...are you using those tools correctly?

This is a collection of free and nearly free resources to use to level-up your game. And some of the content is even free.

To grow sales online (and offline!) requires some rethinking. It's easier than you might imagine to look professional and grow sales. There are so many new tools - and new ones added all the time. I will be updating this course at least a few times a year.

Everything you will find in this course can move you towards brilliant results. Keeping people on your site is key. This course will help you create the space you need to keep them lingering longer.

Lingering translates to visitors to your site actually spending money. And the longer they linger the more spending they do.

Enjoy!

Mckenna Hallett

From my first business at the age of seven (with two employees), to my many years in luxury item sales in top galleries and jewelry boutiques, to my 24 years creating wearable art jewelry which has sold to top retailers including Neiman Marcus - there has been one thread that binds all my success together: I have always been and will always be a Sales and Marketing junkie. I have many skill sets that I can share with over 50 years of experience in sales, marketing, management and ownership of small businesses. Chances are, whatever you are struggling to figure out, can be figured out with a little time. Often for free in many of my up-coming courses. I look forward to serving you, Mckenna

This course is packed with useful tools for marketing a small business. These cover color and graphics selection to aid building a branded website and professional looking logos and adverts. It also covers applications for organizing yourself and your business which I am already putting into practice. There is a short introduction to email marketing which will be covered in more depth in another course. Mckenna’s genuine desire to help your business improve shines through all she does. Her multi-media approach – text, images, videos and audio makes her courses fun and interesting. This course is a taster of more good things to come in her range of marketing and selling courses suitable for small businesses and artists.

For anyone, especially artists, this course provides a good core of useful apps and links. The free resources are good for those running a business on a shoestring or just getting started. For many the "free" stuff will be sufficient to get one's business up and running smoothly for many years. For others, the free things will be a good place to start, but are upgradable when the time comes for more "bells and whistles". While the videos are a little simplistic for those that are designers and techies, they are very well done for the less tech savvy users. There are some downloadable pdfs that can be beneficial to either amateurs or professionals. A chart for creating groups for email marketing lets one get as simple (breaking down into groups) or complex (groups, categories, tags, etc.) while another pdf is a weekly calendar for scheduling emails and blog postings. The last pdf is for helping to create interesting subject lines for emails -- something a lot more of us could do, especially if we want to have an increased open rate on our emails. Overall, this course provides some great information that's not just for beginners.
